Re: New member - sail number 352

All the best with the renovations. I find that all these preparations are about 50% of the enjoyment of sailing.
Have a happy year

Rudder and Stock

Hello everyone I have received the below as an email: A new owner based at Rutland Water broke his rudder while lifting off last week. I had a look at his boat today and can report that I have a fixed hardwood rudder /stock blank which would suit the Prelude. Perhaps someone in the association has e...

Re: Cruising chute

I use one often. http://www.prelude-owners.info/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=3753 In light winds (something common in Greece in August) it is essential. No difficulty in using it at all. I bought mine from a previous Prelude Owner for £80 or £100 I think. Why don't you put a wanted add in the Prelude ...

Website Updated

Hello everyone Since I didn't get to sail my Faith this year, I thought I'd spend a few hours updating our website. The members' page is updated to the best of my knowledge and there are links for all those who have an album in the gallery. http://www.prelude-owners.info/members.html I have also upd...

Re: Summer sailing from Linnhe Marina in June anybody?

O Jerry
Did no one take up your invitation?
I wish I lived a little closer, I would have loved to sail on the west coast of Scotland.
How was your trip this year?

Re: Lazy Jacks

Thank you so much gentlemen
Fascinating!
I have experimented with a simple tiller-to-sheet self-steering in the Aegean sea and it was ok for short periods of time.
Happy sailing

Jerry
I enjoyed looking at your photos and your adventure.
May I ask what is the red sail fixed to the transom and what is the wooden pole aft on the port side?
Thanks

Re: Stepping the mast

Simon It will be really great if you could take those photos of how you use your A Frame and post them in your album in the gallery for all of us to see. We all have troubles with raising and lowering the mast, my mast base broke twice. So to see a system that actually works and you can lift and low...

Re: Launching

Hi Paul I've got one which I have never used but unfortunately it's in Greece with my boat. I'm not planning to drive there until summer 2016. So if you haven't found one until then and you still want it, I'll be happy to bring it for you. I know that this is ages from now, but I thought I'll say it...

Yea we had a great time and indeed the sea is clear and a pleasure to sail with gentle breezes in the summer.
Take heart Alistair, that shiny thing in the sky will visit Cumbria too, one day soon.
Hold on

Re: End of season

It was good for me but short this summer. As you know I keep my Faith in Greece and this year we only managed 2 weeks but I hope that next year we will go for 4 weeks. Still it was good to sail even though for a short time. It was the first time in years that all my family were there together (all 6...
