Re: Website Hosting Costs
Hi friends Thank you very much for your support in this. Something I didn't know is that when you send money through paypal if you specify that it's a 'personal gift' rather than 'payment' than I receive the full amount. Otherwise paypal charges a percentage for their service. One of you sent £2 as ...

Very kind of you, though I didn't expect that much. The £10 was received.
Happy New Year to you too.

Website Hosting Costs
Dear friends I was asked by my son in whose web-space our Prelude-Owners' site is hosted if we would like to contribute towards the costs of hosting. He just received a bill of $280 for the next three years and though in the past he was happy to cover this costs on his own, this time he would welcom...

If you don't have spinnaker pole could it be that you have a cruising shut rather than a spinnaker? Check it out. I also have a cruising shut rather than a spinnaker.

Re: Norfolk Broads Mooring Fees
Thanks Simon I am quite broke at the moment but knowing that the Empress of Blandings is selling for just £250 I'm so tempted. I've never been to the Broads but I heard that it's amazing and I thought that this may give us the opportunity to spend a few nice weekends away from London. On the other h...

Norfolk Broads Mooring Fees
I know there's quite a few Prelude Owners in the Norfolk Broads.
I would like to hear what you think may be the cheapest mooring fees in the Broads.
Thanks

Re: to the owners of Pela
Hi Dave I just found this email from last January which will answer your question and reassure you that your prelude is the 173 - I will be amending the Owners list. Hi Harris I think our Prelude is 173, although I can't be absolutely certain at the moment - I'll let you know if I find out different...

I just had a look at your photos! They are beautiful! Essaouira looks beautiful. Does Essaouira mean something?
Enjoy sailing her.

Re: Lifting Keel Base
I have spoken on the phone with David, a Prelude owner in Yorkshire, who believes that the base is just made out of fiberglass, there's no metal skeleton involved as I thought to support the lifting keel. Does anyone else have any knowledge on this?

Lifting Keel Base
Hi friends From a recent survey, it appears that my base that supports the lifting keel has come unstuck in certain parts. My boat has the old type of lifting keel with the winch right inside the cabin, and the encasing that sticks out on the floor. Does anyone have any drawings or experience of how...

Hi Skeeter
I may be interested in a head-sail roller-reefing mechanism if you've got it.

Re: Trailer Tyre Pressures
Bernard I have one of those trailers and what I did on departing for my long journey to Greece, I looked on what was written on the wheels. It said something like max. pressure so much under so much weight. I think a phone call to a trailer company with the size of the tyre will probably also do the...

So the end story is that I should check the bolt before I attempt to launch Faith, since I don't know when it was last checked.

Re: Prelude Article
I was hoping that Gav will offer to do it. Gav is not only an accomplished writer / author but also a Prelude owner and member of our association. Gav I have no idea of how to set up a wiki, but talking with my son he suggests that since there is no article on the Prelude in Wikepedia, the article y...
