Kicking Strap

Hi there guys. Getting stuff sorted now, generally that is.

Can some one post some pics of the kicking strap which is usually fitted to Preludes

Hi Dave

If you go to the gallery and select Jeremy Fisher, click on "Boat Rigging one". That will give you an idea of the kicking strap.
It is the best I can do at the moment as I will not be up at the boat for a couple of weeks now.

The kicking strap is made up of two pulleys, one fixed to the mast step and one to the boom.

Can anyone else help with a more detailed photo or a description?
How many sheaves are there on each pulley?
Then I guess there is a jamming cleat on one of them.
There is a button type fitting on the bottom of the boom and a 'U' fixing to the mast step on my boat.

there are two sheaves on each pulley and the bottom one that fixes to the mast step is a jammer
