Euphoria for sale - £1995

Postby AlistairMills » Wed May 30, 2018 3:24 pm

Due to a change of circumstances I’m reluctantly selling Euphoria.

Please see my advent in Apollo Duck for full details and photos.

Designed by Ian Proctor and built by Rydgeway Marine with one owner, Euphoria has been with our family since new. She is unique amongst Preludes due to her re-designed keels which were done by the designer Ian Proctor to make her more stable for coastal cruising.

She is a bilge (twin) keel and she draws 0.8 metres.

She has been steadily improved and maintained every year with her latest major refit in 2014, along with the old antifouling being removed, hull epoxied and re-antifouled last year.

Moored in Hampshire on the River Hamble, she is a ‘proper' little yacht with 4 berths, (realistically 2-3) excellent sailor, well equipped and a very reluctant sale.

Up to the beginning of this year I fully intended to continue to sail her with my family, but due to a change of circumstances, this is sadly no longer possible.

She has had extensive improvement work carried out on her including:

• Standing and running rigging professionally replaced by Hamble Yacht Services. (2014)
• LED navigation lights throughout (2014)
• Anti-fouling removed and epoxy treatment. (2017)
• New Furlex roller reefing fitting (2014)
• Chartplotter (2016)
• New bespoke rudder and stock (2014)
• New wooden tiller (2014)
• Safety lines in cockpit and on foredeck
• Windex fitted (2017)
• New cabin lights, clock and barometer (2018)

Her inventory includes:

• 2002 5 HP 2 stoke outboard with external fuel tank and battery charging. Professionally serviced each year.
• 2012 Hood mainsail in excellent condition, washed and inspected each year.
• Foresail in very good condition, washed and inspected each year.
• All seating / berth cushions in excellent condition with no tears or damage. They were replaced in 2002 by Hamble
Cover Services and look almost new.
• Tri-colour LED at masthead along with LED steaming light on mast.
• Lazy fore stay for storm jib or hank on sails.
• SL400 pump out toilet with new seals and valves.
• Blake’s seacocks
• Vetus 75A Battery
• Entire boat re-wired 2005
• Lowrance Elite 4 chartplotter (no Card)
• NASA clipper depth sounder
• Integral water tank connected to pump tap on sink
• Origo 3000 spirit cooker with gimbles and pan holders
• Raymarine VHF/DSC radio connected to GPS active aerial.
• 6 way waterproof switch panel
• Genuine CQR 15 lb anchor with 6mm chain.
• Mooring warps
• Fenders

She has a generous cockpit space with lockers either side for outboard stowage, dinghies, warps, fenders etc.
